The people behind Medflix

GP Sebastiaan van Beek is the face and the beating heart of Medflix. His mission? To make continuous medical education so engaging that you’ll want to watch another episode in the evening.

“As a presenter of continuous medical education courses, I increasingly found myself thinking: We can do better. Fresher. More inspiring. That’s how the idea for Medflix was born.” During one of the initial brainstorming sessions, he enthusiastically was shouting out: “We’re going to create binge-worthy education!”

Susanne brings a broad perspective to Medflix. Lifelong learning and curiosity are the guiding principles of her life, with her background as a medical advisor and lecturer/researcher. She is constantly pursuing some form of education; as a result, she not only holds multiple master's degrees and qualifications but also experiments firsthand with various learning methods.

“Learning entails so much more than just obtaining a diploma or earning accreditation points. What sparks your interest in a subject? How do you absorb and retain knowledge? I am fascinated by the question of how Medflix can provide the best possible environment for that process.”

Alongside Sebastiaan, Nadine is one of the regular moderators at Medflix. She started out in veterinary medicine but has spent the last few years fully immersed in the world of continuous medical education for professionals. Nadine is naturally curious, sharp in conversation, and knows how to effortlessly combine substantive content with an enjoyable viewing experience.

Chi combines her background in pharmacy, health economics, and marketing to make medical knowledge more accessible and more applicable.
